Just like HTC, BlackBerry has previously focused on making smartphones for high-end consumers. But again, just like HTC, the Canadian phone maker has realised that entry-level products are where the money is.
And this is most evident with the company’s alleged upcoming smartphone which was leaked a few hours ago by BlackBerry-centric site N4BB.com.
The BlackBerry Z3 (codenamed Jakarta) will reportedly have a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, an Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. The smartphone will be intended for emerging markets with a price tag of around $150.
The budget-friendly BlackBerry Z3 is expected to be unveiled next week at MWC in Barcelona, Spain.
