Bing Creeping Up

Bing is slowly but surely making inroads into the search engine market.

US figures show that Bing is slowly but surely getting marketshare from the other search engine providers, however Google has only registered a miniscule drop.

Worldwide Google’s marketshare dropped half a percent from 89.80 percent to 89.23 percent, while in the US it fell almost a percent from 78.48 percent to 77.54 percent. Meanwhile Bing’s US share as increased almost 1.5 percent from 8.23 to 9.41 percent.

This will probably not worry Google too much, after all they have an almost unassailable lead, however Microsoft will be happy as long as the figures keep heading north.
