BenQ has two new Camcorder models – the S11 and S21 – which are claimed to have a load of unique and innovative features.
Offering Full HD, 1080p video the new BenQ Camcorder S11 comes with with a built-in LED PICO Projector. This means you can shoot and then show recorded footage immediately using the same device without having to export or download files.
The S11 also offers 10X digital zoom, 5 mexapixels OmniVision sensor and a 3.5inch touch screen 230k pixels LCD.
It’s the first bar-type flat panel Pico Full HD DV Camcorder which can film true Full HD video without compromise and is equipped with a projector for viewing movies and recorded footage instantaneously up to 50-inch in size. Favourite clips sourced from the internet can also be converted with the included software and accessed and shared via projection onto any flat surface.
The ‘record and instantaneous projected playback’ feature on the units makes it unique to the market, claims BenQ and the 3.5-inch touch screen will display the imagery while it is also being projected onto a wall. It can capture still images from the video during playback, taking ‘snapshots’ without first having to export the content to a computer.
The icons on the touch screen make it a cinch to operate and it has a three-second pre-record feature, which automatically preserves whatever was happening just before the record button is activated.
The DV-S21 camcorder is equipped with infrared night vision to capture nocturnal scenes like an after-hours city scape in Full HD video or still images in 16 megapixel resolution. Then there is the unit’s ‘motion detection’ feature, which when set, will automatically begin filming the instant the subject moves.
It comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery, and can also be powered with AA disposable batteries. A dual SD card slots means you can fill one SD card and then switch to the other, doubling storage capacity.
