Apple’s acquisition of Beats was expected to be finalised last week, but up to now, we are yet to hear an official announcement from either of the parties. It’s because apparently the deal has been delayed due to a number of reasons including valuation and roles.

According to a report by Billboard Apple has not yet decided on whether to give Beats co-founders Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre full-time executive roles or just have them as consultants. Apple is also not sure if the two would fit into the company’s existing corporate environment.

Moreover, it was reported that the folks from Cupertino were “freaked out” and to some extent outraged when they saw a video of Dr. Dre with Tyrese Gibson on YouTube last week claiming that he was the first billionaire in hip hop after the deal.

There’s also the issue about Apple’s valuation of Beats Music. The online streaming service has around 200,000 subscribers which have been speculated as one of the main reasons why Apple wants to buy the company.
