BBM Adds Support To More iOS Devices

BlackBerry today released an update to BBM for Android and iOS users. The update brings about several new features, bug fixes and performance boost to the instant messaging app not to mention the added support for more iOS devices. The Android version will now support BBM contact categories as well as more option for sharing your BBM Pin barcode. 

BlackBerry today released an update to BBM for Android and iOS users. The update brings about several new features, bug fixes and performance boost to the instant messaging app not to mention the added support for more iOS devices.

The Android version will now support BBM contact categories as well as more option for sharing your BBM Pin barcode. Group list sorting and filtering has also been improved and users can now find their friends who are also using BBM on other social networks.

Meanwhile, those on iOS will now have support for iPods and iPads that are running iOS6 and iOS7. There will also be improvements to right-to-left language support as well as added options for sharing BBM Pin Barcode and ability to find friends on other social networks.

In terms of bug fixes, the update will fix the issue on a number of Android handsets where some users experienced high battery use and the issue where users would be missing BBM contact names on iOS.

The update is now available on Google Play and the iTunes app store.
