Australian pricing and launch date announced for Samsung Galaxy Tab S

Samsung Australia today announced pricing and availability for their newest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S. The 10.5" model will go on sale on Monday the 14th of July, from a RRP of $599. A release date for the 8.4" model is yet to be confirmed. Both tablets can be preordered from this coming Monday.

Samsung Australia today announced pricing and availability for their newest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S. The 10.5" model will go on sale on Monday the 14th of July, from a RRP of $599. A release date for the 8.4" model is yet to be confirmed. Both tablets can be preordered from this coming Monday.

The Galaxy Tab S is available in both WiFi and 4G models, and features Samsung's most advance display yet. Samsung claims the display will help provide users with a great viewing experience anywhere, with the panel automatically adjusting gamma, saturation and sharpness based on the colour temperature of the viewing environment and ambient light.

Given the tablet's multimedia centric nature, Samsung haven't forsaken battery life. The Tab S will reportedly provide users with up to 11 hours of high definition video playback. Great if you've got a long trip ahead of you.
