At the launch of its RAZR M and RAZR HD handsets in Sydney earlier this week, Motorola revealed that it will not be releasing the 2GHz Motorola RAZR in Australia.

The 2GHz Intel-powered smartphone would never get an Australian launch thanks to the country's love of 4G connectivity.

"We think 4G is something that consumers are seeing as important here in Australia, so we don't see ourselves launching the RAZR I here locally," claims Motorola.

The Intel handset will be sold in other markets around the world and is actually dubbed in different names. It is marketed as Orange San Diego in the United Kingdom, XOLO X900 in India and Megafon Mint in Russia.
