Apple Watch event slated for March 10

Apple will hold a second Apple Watch event on March 10 (4am AEST) according to an invite sent to America-based publications. It is expected that this event will be used to discuss the Apple Watch's functionality, availability and pricing – information that was largely omitted from the original announcement last September.

While Apple has stated that the entry level Apple Watch Sport will cost USD$349, pricing for the other models is still unknown. There has been speculation that the 18-carrat gold Apple Watch Edition could cost anywhere between USD$5,000 and USD$20,000 due to the price of gold. Apple CEO Tim Cook has previously said the Apple Watch will begin shipping in April.

It is expected that Apple could also use the event to announce the heavily rumoured 12-inch MacBook Air and its revamp of the Beats streaming service.
