The Apple Watch will be available through Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Domayne and Myer retail stores from August 15.
A select range of Apple Watch models will be available through the aforementioned retailers, including the Apple Watch Sport with all five Band colours, and the standard stainless steel Apple Watch with a choice of either black or white Sport Band, or the Milanese Loop. Both models will be available in 38mm and 42mm sizes.
It appears that other straps – including the stainless steel link band and leather loops – will remain exclusive to Apple's outlets for the time being, as will the 18 karat Apple Watch Edition.
The following stores will sell the Apple Watch from Saturday:
Myer, Lonsdale St, Melbourne, Victoria
Myer, Sydney City, New South Wales
Myer, Brisbane City, Queensland
Harvey Norman, Auburn, New South Wales
Domayne, Bundall, Queensland
JB Hi-Fi, Westfield Sydney, New South Wales
To date, the Apple Watch has been sold exclusively through Apple's online and brick-and-mortar outlet, with the company's 22 Australian stores only receiving stock on June 19. Prior to this, customers buying a Watch in store would have it shipped to them.
