Apple has sold 26.9 million iPhone in the last quarter, taking the largest slice of sales in the company.

Apple has sold 26.9 million iPhone in the last quarter, taking the largest slice of sales in the company.

The iPhone thumps all other Apple gadget. By comparison, Apple sold 4.9 million Macs, 5.3 million iPods and 14 million iPads during the most recent quarter. The company received $17.1 billion in iPhone revenue over the last three months, compared with $7.5 billion in iPad revenue and $6.3 billion in Mac revenue.

iPhone sales are up 58% from the same period last year and slightly more than analysts had expected. Projections were at a little more than 25 million iPhones.

“We’re very proud to end a fantastic fiscal year with record September quarter results,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We’re entering this holiday season with the best iPhone, iPad, Mac and iPod products ever, and we remain very confident in our new product pipeline.”
