Apple quietly increases Australian iPhone 6 pricing

Apple has quietly increased the Australian pricing on all iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, presumably as a reaction to the country's falling dollar. New pricing for all iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models is as follows:

16GB iPhone 6 was AUD$869, now AUD$999
64GB iPhone was AUD$999, now AUD$1,149
128GB iPhone was AUD$1,129, now AUD$1,299

16GB iPhone 6 Plus was AUD$999, now AUD$1,149
64GB iPhone 6 Plus was AUD$1,190, now AUD$1,299
128GB iPhone 6 Plus was AUD$1,249 now AUD$1,449

Despite the increase in price, spokespeople from both Vodafone and Optus have confirmed that neither telco is currently planning to charge more for their Phone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus plans. CyberShack is still seeking comment from Telstra.

Apple also seems to have also increase the pricing on its notebooks, including the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina Display. However, these devices have also been upgraded with newer components, whereas the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus' hardware hasn't changed since launch.

At time of writing, pricing for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 hasn’t changed since launch.
