Apple is making the cheapest model in its iPod Touch range even more affordable and more powerful. Today, the Cupertino-based company has given its 16GB iPod Touch a long-awaited upgrade by giving it a camera and dropping its price.
The new iPod model will now be equipped with a 5MP iSight camera with a five-element lens and an aperture of f/2.4. It will still have the 4-inch retina display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 and lightning connector.
The multimedia player will be priced at US$199 as opposed to its original price of US$229. Other models in the range will also get a price drop with the 32GB and 64GB versions now selling for US$249 and $299 respectively.
At the moment, the new iPod Touch models are not available on the Australian Apple store yet and the old 16GB model is no longer listed on the company’s store so we’ll likely see these new models within days.
