Customers picking up a new device in store can also have it setup by Apple staff before they leave.

Apple says that customers can typically collect their order within an hour of a placing it, and will receive a notification email when it's ready to go.

While Personal Pickup has been available in the United States for a number of years, Australia is one of the very first international markets to receive the service. Personal Pickup is now also available in Canada.
