Amaysim to boost data across all mobile plans

Budget friendly telco Amaysim will up data allowances across its entire range of plans starting from March 31.

The company's AUD$49.90 Unlimited 8GB plan will become Unlimited 9GB. The AUD$39.90 Unlimited 5GB and AUD$44.90 and Unlimited 5GB Plus options will become Unlimited 7GB and Unlimited 7GB Plus, respectively. The AUD$29.90 Unlimited 2GB plan will becoming Unlimited 3GB. And the AUD24.90 Unlimited 1GB plan will become Unlimited 1.5GB.

All Amaysim "Unlimited" plans include unlimited talk, text, and standard international calls to China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and United States of America.  In addition, the Unlimited 7GB Plus and Unlimited 9GB plans will both continue to provide customers with 300 minutes of calls to standard international numbers outside those countries.

While Amaysim's family of plans will now offer larger data allowances, the company has dropped plan expiry from 30 days to 28 days. This means customers will consistently have to recharge 13 times per year. Telstra, Vodafone, and Optus all use the same 28 day billing structure for their prepaid offerings.

Existing Amaysim customers will be switched to the new plan in their price bracket when they recharge after March 31.
