Two weeks ago, BGR uploaded some photos of the alleged Amazon smartphone, which gives some details on what the online retail store has been working on for the past years in the field of smartphone development. However, the leaked images we saw two weeks back show very little of the device’s design mainly due to the case enveloping it.

Today, BGR gives us another image of the alleged Amazon smartphone. But this time, the phone takes off the black casing to show its understated design for the world to see. According to BGR, the image is reportedly the word of graphic designers at Amazon.

The overall look of the phone seems to be a mix between the iPhone 5C, with its rounded bevelled edges and a Samsung smartphone especially due to its rectangular home button.

The Amazon smartphone will also reportedly run on a highly customised version on Android, and will use 4 low-energy infrared sensors placed at the four corners of the display to create a 3D user interface. The device is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with a quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch 720p display.
