Adobe has just rolled out a phone version of its tablet-based photo editing app – Photoshop Touch.

The app is based on the tablet version and to a large extent is feature-identical. Users can edit up to 16 layers or 3 layers at the maximum file size of 12 megapixels. Having said this, the app will have the same set of brushes, actions and other tools.

And since the app has been resized to fit smaller screens, the user interface is slightly modified. For starters, the tutorials are less interactive and the app screen are arranged differently to accommodate all the elements of the app given the limited space.

The app is compatible with iOS and Android (4.0 or later) and is already available for download on Adobe’s website for US$4.99. You also need to sign up for a free membership to the 2GB Creative Cloud plan upon installing the app.
