Start drawing up your holiday wishlist with Acer’s new Windows 8-powered Ultrabook line, the company’s first to sport touchscreens.

According to Acer, the new line has "the thinnest and smallest, respectively, Full HD touch Ultrabooks".

The Aspire S7 series will launch the same day Windows 8 gets shipped out on October 26.

Prices starts at a whopping US$1,200 for the 11-inch model and $1,400 or $1,650 for the 13-inch version (S7-391), depending on which configuration you opt for.

The laptops all have 1080p IPS screens and backlit keyboards. The 13-inch model has a display that can lie completely flat. The 11-inch version has an aluminum lid, while the 13-inch is made out of Gorilla Glass.

Both systems deliver Dolby Home Theater Audio via built-in stereo speakers, as well as two USB 3.0 ports and micro-HDMI output. They also come with the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors, ranging from the Core i5-3317U for the S7-191-6640 to the Core i7-3517U for the S7-391-9886.

For the price, these new devices better measure up.
