Acer has just released the TravelMate X313 that is aimed towards those people who are sitting at the top of the corporate ladder. The X313 is designed as a 2-in-1 device and comes with a keyboard dock that functions pretty similar to that of the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and other convertibles from Acer’s product line including the Iconia W5 and the Aspire P3.
The device features an 11.6-inch display that sports a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and is powered by an Ivy-bridge Intel Core i3 or i5 processor. The device comes with either 60GB or 120GB internal storage, 4GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU.
Battery life is rated at around 6 hours (possibly because of the less power-efficient Ivy bridge chip), integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, USB 3.0 port and a 5MP camera that is capable of capturing 1080p video.
As stated earlier, Acer is marketing the X313 as a device for senior management and its price certainly reflects this marketing strategy as the Acer TravelMate X313 will retail for around US$1,352.
