Ecovacs IFA 2026: Expanding from indoors to outdoors
Ecovacs’ first expansion into other robot categories was the first Winbot way back in 2011. Since then, Ecovacs has continually added new functions that address real customer complaints and wishes.
The new Winbot W3 Omni features the Vortex Wash automatic wiping pad cleaner that eliminates the hassle of manually washing dirty wiping pads.
The same approach continues to Ecovacs’ lawn robots. For free-standing houses, lawn care can be a recurring task that takes up a lot of time and energy. One of the key complaints in this area is lawn edging.
The Goat T series addresses edging with the TruEdge Trimmer, designed to closely follow lawn borders and leave behind less work for humans. The HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR Navigation system helps the Goat T follow different yard layouts with greater autonomy.
In floor care, Ecovacs’ Ozmo Roller is one of the best designs on the market, allowing Ecovacs robots equipped with it to tackle stubborn messes without spreading it across the floor.
The new Deebot X12S OmniCyclone shown at IFA combines strong pressure with continuous self-washing that keeps the roller clean throughout the job.
Ecovacs is expanding into pool cleaning as well, which was identified as one of the tasks that takes the longest and is the least enjoyable.
The Ultramarine L1 Pro is designed to take the time and effort out of pool care, navigating and cleaning different pool environments with minimal user intervention. This helps to make pool maintenance quicker and easier.

Ecovacs’ scalable technology stacks
The power behind Ecovacs’ success is its scalable technology that spans robotics, sensing, motion control, cleaning, and power management.
Rather than building each category from the ground up, Ecovacs adapts and scales proven robotics capabilities across different environments and needs, allowing the brand to move from one scenario to another quickly.
Backed by a research and development cohort of over 900 professionals and more than RMB Â¥550 million invested in the first half of 2026, Ecovacs’ vertical integration further strengthens its technology advantage.
