ECOVACS WINBOT W3 OMNI Takes the Effort Out of Window Cleaning

Cleaning windows is one of those household jobs that is easy to put off. ECOVACS is taking a robotic approach with the WINBOT W3 OMNI, designed to clean glass while reducing the hands-on work involved.

The WINBOT W3 OMNI attaches to glass using suction and uses WIN-SLAM 5.0 navigation to plan its cleaning path. It can detect frames, edges and obstacles as it works across the window.

One of its biggest features is the new Vortex Wash system. The OMNI station automatically washes the robot’s wiping pad, helping remove the need to manually clean dirty pads between jobs. ECOVACS says the pad can be refreshed in about one minute.

The robot also features TruEdge technology, which is designed to clean closer to window edges. Its three-nozzle spray system distributes cleaning solution across the glass before the wiping pad works across the surface.

Safety is another key consideration, particularly when cleaning exterior or high windows. The WINBOT W3 OMNI has multiple anti-drop systems, including suction, sensors and a three-layer safety cable rated to 100kg. ECOVACS says the robot can remain attached to the glass for more than 30 minutes even when battery power is low.

The WINBOT W3 OMNI is available in Australia for $1,299. It can also be controlled through the ECOVACS HOME app, with seven cleaning modes available.

For anyone with large glass panels, floor-to-ceiling windows or hard-to-reach exterior glass, the idea is simple: let a robot take care of one of the more tedious cleaning jobs around the home.robotics, following its robotic vacuum, window-cleaning and lawn-mowing products.
