Pool cleaning is another household chore getting the robotic treatment, with ECOVACS bringing its ULTRAMARINE P1 to Australian pools.
The cordless robotic pool cleaner is designed to scrub, vacuum and filter debris from pool floors and walls, reducing the amount of manual cleaning required.
The ULTRAMARINE P1 uses ECOVACS’ UltraPure suction system, delivering up to 18,200 litres per hour of suction. Four synchronised roller brushes help scrub pool surfaces, while a dual-layer filter captures larger debris as well as finer particles.
Navigation is handled by ECOVACS’ SmartNavi system, which uses an IMU sensor to optimise the robot’s cleaning path. It can cover up to 99% of the pool floor and cross obstacles such as drains and underwater lights up to 5.5cm high.
The P1 is also designed for different pool surfaces, including concrete, vinyl, fibreglass, pebble and acrylic. Its battery provides up to three hours of cleaning in Eco mode, with support for pools up to 180 square metres.
Users can select from three cleaning modes and three efficiency levels, while app control allows cleaning to be scheduled remotely.
The result is a more hands-off approach to pool maintenance. Drop the ULTRAMARINE P1 into the pool, select the appropriate cleaning mode and let the robot handle the work.
ECOVACS introduced the ULTRAMARINE P1 in 2026 as part of its expansion into outdoor robotics, following its robotic vacuum, window-cleaning and lawn-mowing products.
