What’s Your Story: Two weeks to go

There's just over two weeks left to go in Trend Micro's "What Your Story" competition, a campaign designed to foster cyber-safety awareness in younger children. While Australian kids are often given talks by teachers and parents about online safety, Trend Micro wants to help further that engagement.

"What's Your Story" is a poster competition for children between the ages of 5 and 12, based around the theme of "your business is your business". Posters submitted to the competition should consider how young Australians can keep their personal information safe online, and the risks technology can impose upon one's privacy.

Entries for "What's Your Story" close on September 20, and winners will be announced around October 12. The first prize winner will receive AUD$3,000, and two runners up will receive AUD$1,500 each.

I'll be judging the contest alongside panellists from Twitter, Stay Smart Online, and the Office of the e-Safety Commissioner, and I can't wait to see everyone's posters!

So if you need something to keep the kids busy this weekend, take a look at the "What's Your Story" website here.
