Unlimited Downloads For $90

In what is claimed to be a first, AAPT has announced unlimited downloads – well, between 8pm and 8am anyway…

Call us cynical, but AAPT has announced that a new broadband plan that allows for unlimited downloads between the hours of 8pm and 8am for $89.95 a month is “perfect for families who find their broadband service slowed because they’ve exceeded their monthly cap or, worse still, have found themselves paying for additional usage”.

We’re also thinking those that use the bitTorrent protocol won’t be able to wipe the smiles from their faces as they share and share some more. At about $22.50 a week, we’re sure they will be plenty of takers.

Other features include 5GB of downloads per month in peak periods, fast ADSL2+ broadband with speeds up to 20 Mbps and $50 worth of voice calls with line rental included.
In research conducted for AAPT by Woolcott Research last month on household download habits, one in three Australian families admitted they exceeded their download quota every month, with 50 per cent blaming it on their children’s internet habits.
