Telstra’s Next G data quotas increase

It seems Telstra has finally paid heed to customers’ complaints about excessive data charges and increased their data quotas for mobile users.

It seems Telstra has finally paid heed to customers’ complaints about excessive data charges and increased their data quotas for mobile users.

The telco has announced new included download quotas for its mobile data packs and a reduction in the charges for excessive usage.

Telstra’s $10 mobile data packs have been increased from 20MB to 150MB. Whilst its $29 data pack offers 300MB – up from 80MB.

Excess data usage fees on the $10 pack have been halved from a dollar per megabyte to $0.50. On the $29 pack excess fees have been cut to $0.25 per excess megabyte used.

Whilst the pricing is still relatively high when compared with the other carriers, it shows some relief for existing Telstra Next G customers who could previously pay up to $2000 per gigabyte in excess data charges…
