If Street Fighter IV is a little late, we might know the reason why.
In what looks like a sad piece of news for Australian gamers – especially those who love Capcom titles – one of our game distributors has just been shuddered.
Based on information received from ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission), Red Ant is now “UNDER EXTERNAL ADMINISTRATION and/or CONTROLLER APPOINTED”.
Does this mean Red Ant went bust? We’re not too sure about that and are currently chasing up information, but it doesn’t leave a lot of good news for Australian gamers.
Australia’s Red Ant is currently the only distributor for Capcom titles including the upcoming Street Fighter IV title that was slated for a late February release here. Aside from Capcom title, Red Ant handled Konami (after Atari let go of them last year), Midway, and Bethesda.
