Sony Rolls Out Tablet P and Sony Tablet S 3G

Sony’s offered up a couple of new tablets including the clamshell-shaped Tablet P that opens and closes like the real thing, and weighs in at a uber light 375 grams. It is said to fit easily into a purse, backpack or jacket pocket.
Featuring two 5.5-inch TruBlack displays, it allows users to manage different functional capabilities simultaneously on two different screens or a combined single screen. Users can read an email on one screen while using a large virtual keyboard on the other; display video or gaming on one screen while controlling it on the other; hold the device vertically for a more natural reading experience or simply combine the screens to view web pages and video content.
It runs the Google Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system, with updates available for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
Launching simultaneously in Australia is the Sony Tablet S 3G that offers users all the features of the currently available Sony Tablet S with the addition of 3G capability. It can act as a universal remote for your home entertainment platforms giving users a one-stop, multi-functional entertainment device.
With access to the Sony Entertainment Network services such Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited, the Sony Tablet S 3G and Tablet P allow users to download songs, games, movies and TV shows.
Adding to the entertainment solution, the Sony Tablet range gives users the ability to ‘throw’ pictures, videos and music to other devices at the touch of a button, including DLNA compatible televisions like Sony’s Bravia range while also giving users the ability to listen to music from the device via wifi speakers.
The Sony Tablet range are also the only tablets on the markets to be PlayStation certified meaning you can download and play PlayStation games.
