Sony New VAIO Range Includes First Glasses-Free 3D PC

Sony Australia has announced a new range of VAIO models including the company’s first glasses-free 3D PC, the VAIO L Series. It has new technologies that include gesture control, allowing users to control the volume, skip songs and fast forward movies with hand movements.

The new VAIO range includes:

  • Rapid Wake technology allowing users to go from sleep mode to ‘on’ in less than two seconds with added data protection functionality
  • Gesture control across music and video programming and Microsoft PowerPoint for an interactive experience
  • USB charge, which lets users utilise the power from their PC to charge their connected device, even when the PC is not connected to a power source

VAIO L Series – Glasses-free 3D viewing powered by Bravia

Features include:

  • Sony’s first glasses-free 3D PC allows users to experience 3D viewing without the need for glasses. Facial detection and tracking is also used to ensure the best experience.
  • The first PC to integrate Bravia TV’s X-Reality Picture Engine into its display technology.
  • New Bravia user interface (UI) allowing simultaneous viewing of display and UI.
  • Capacitive touch screen.
  • HDMI in and out, which ensures the VAIO can be used to view external 3D content such as PS3 games.

VAIO E Series Premium

  • Includes matching keyboard skin and Bluetooth mouse
  • Up to 5.5 hour long life battery
