SCEE today announced some titles will be available in stereoscopic 3D, including MotorStorm: Apocalypse, Killzone®3, The Sly Raccoon Collection and Gran Turismo 5.
Franchises from the publishing community will also make their way into consumer homes in stereoscopic 3D, such as Crysis 2, Mortal Kombat, Shaun White Skateboarding and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, as well as Tron 2: Evolution The Game.
PS3s are capable of playing stereoscopic 3D games as a result of a recent firmware update. Four PS3 titles offering stereoscopic gaming experiences are currently available for download from the PlayStation Network including PAIN, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, Super Stardust HD and WipEout HD. The PS3 system will make stereoscopic 3D Blu-ray Disc movie support available later this year.
SCEE also announced that it will release the PlayStation Move motion controller for PS3 on September 16, Australia and New Zealand for $69.99. The new PlayStation Move navigation controller, which can be used alongside the motion controller for intuitive navigation of in-game characters and objects, will also be available on the same day for $49.99.
A special priced starter bundle offer will also be made available at launch. With more than 16 dedicated titles for PlayStation Move available on the day of launch and 40 more slated to hit throughout the holiday season, both casual gamers and hardcore gamers will have plenty of reasons to clear their coffee tables and immerse themselves in the most precise and ultra sensory gaming experience ever.
