Sony launch web-ready camera

Sony release a new digital camera that let you skip home & the printer altogether by just uploading images straight to the web.

Sony have got a camera with an interesting concept. No idea how well it’ll work but here goes anyway…

The new Sony Cyber-shot (when did that hyphen get there?) is a new 10.1 megapixel camera and is the world’s first WiFi capable camera with a built-in web browser.

The idea for the web browser will be to allow people to upload their images straight to online services such as Picasa, Photobucket, Shutterfly, as well as video uploads to places like YouTube.

Certified for use with the ever friendly DLNA (which will make it great in techie households) the Cyber-shot DSC-G3 even comes with an upload connection for AT&T WiFi… which doesn’t do us a lot of good here.

We’ll check with Sony Australia to find out availability as well as price.
