According to reports by the AFP the global electronics giant will be reducing manufacturing by 10% and cutting back its electronic business by 30% in an effort to reduce the unprofitable areas of the company.

A Sony spokesperson stated: “These initiatives are in response to the sudden and rapid changes in the global economic environment.”
