SanDisk have announced an upgrade to their Memory Card line – the company will begin producing 64 GB mini SDs.

The company has developed the new high-performance card in collaboration with Japanese electronics giant Toshiba. The cards are made possible by recent advances in nanometer process technology.

The cards have been branded “X3” and SanDIsk plan to have them available for sale by mid year.

Currently the brand’s staple line is in 8GB and 16 GB cards.
