Safety Recall For Sony Bravias
- Sold 2007/2008

- Sony offers free inspection
Sony has said that there is a potential issue affecting its 40-inch Bravia LCD TV models, which were available for purchase in Australia from mid 2007 through to late 2008.
The model numbers are:
- KDL-40X3100
- KDL-40XBR
- KDL-40W3100
This issue came to their attention via a report from Sony Corporation in Japan that there could be a component affected by a quality issue, which may cause over-heating and ignition inside the television and could result in the melting of the upper rear casing of the unit.
To date, there have been no reports of any damage to other property or physical injuries.
Sony is voluntarily initiating a programme to perform a free inspection and, if necessary, a free repair.
