Restore Pics And Documents With Photo Scanner

Epson claims its latest product in the scanner space will restore old photos to their former glory.

Professional restoration of positive and negative film, photos and documents for imaginative and creative uses or preservation by archiving is claimed wit a new scanner from Epson.
The Perfection V600 Photo scanner is capable of scanning at up to 6400 x 9600dpi optical resolution at a 48 bit colour depth, and scan an A4page at 300 dpi in six seconds.

It also utilises ReadyScan LED Technology, reducing power use and heat output, eliminating mercury from the light source, and reducing start-up time to less than one second, claims Epson.

The unit is equipped with Digital ICE technology that uses both hardware and software during the scanning process to detect and remove dust and scratch marks on both film and photo scans.

Epson Scan software can be used either as a TWAIN driver within programs such as Adobe Photoshop, or as a full functional standalone program, delivering a range of scanning and photo features that make full use of the scanner’s scanning technologies.
It also comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, a photo editing software that allows users to edit and manipulate their scanned images.

This scanner is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional/ XP Home edition/ XP Professional/ XP Professional x64 Edition/ Vista (pre-installed model), and Mac OS 10.2.8 or later.
