Optus Finally Win One

Optus set to get ATO contract

After losing out on a reportedly $1 billion deal with the CBA to Telstra, it looks like the second biggest Telco in the land might have won a somewhat smaller prize.

According to IT News, Optus will soon be signing a deal with the Australian Tax Office worth about $60 million a year.

The deal will entail the company to provide the ATO with an array of programs, such as WAN and LAN services, video conferencing, as well as the expected data and voice carriage services.

It might take the sting out of losing the big one, and proves that Telstra isn’t the be-all and end-all of high-end corporate communications.
