Optus doubles prepaid data allowances
Optus My Prepaid Ultimate customers will receive double their usual data allowance whenever they make an AUD$30 or an AUD$40 recharge before May 1. Typically, an AUD$30 recharge would get customers 1.5GB, and an AUD$40 recharge would include 4GB. These have been bumped to 3GB and 8GB respectively.
Both the AUD$30 and AUD$40 recharge include unlimited talk and talk, while the AUD$40 recharge also includes unlimited standard international calls to select countries until May 1.
My Prepaid Ultimate customers recharging on Optus' AUD$50 recharge will get a bonus 3GB of data instead, taking them to a total of 9GB.
In addition, Optus has also increased the amount of data My Prepaid Ultimate customers can roll over to a maximum of 15GB (previously 10GB). When a customer recharges before their current credit expires, any unused data is added to their allowance for the next month.
Unlike its increased data allowances, Optus' new rollover limit is a fixed change with no expiry date.
