One in five Brits admit to "drink-buying" online, according to new research conducted by Confused.com. The research revealed that 53% of drunken spending takes place on Amazon, and 50% of shoppers under the influence have placed a bid on eBay

One in five Brits admit to "drink-buying" online, according to new research conducted by Confused.com. The research revealed that 53% of drunken spending takes place on Amazon, and 50% of shoppers under the influence have placed a bid on eBay. On average, drink-buying is costing shippers an average of 140 euro per year (AUD$201), but nearly a quarter admitted to spending up to 200 euro (AUD$287).

Clothing was the most popular item bough by intoxicated shoppers, purchased by 36% of those surveyed. Holidays trailed close behind, with 20% of participants booking a trip while drunk.
