Nokia has revealed its latest contender for the iPhone crown – the N97 – a smartphone that’s set to change the way we communicate.

Nokia has revealed its latest contender for the iPhone crown – the N97 – a smartphone that’s set to change the way we communicate.

Nokia revealed the new handset at the Nokia World 2008 Conference in Barcelona. The phone is the latest in the company’s N Series of high end smartphone devices.

The phone features a slide out full QWERTY keyboard as well as a tilting touchscreen. The N97 also provides easy access to a number of social networking sites and supports flash video. Users can also update their profiles or share their location with friends via the A-GPS sensors and electronic compass.

Like previous N Series phones, the N97 will feature a 5 megapixel camera, onboard music and video player, WiFi, Bluetooth and quad band support.
