Tony Faure, the CEO of ninemsn has resigned. He is the third high profile exit from the company in as many months after the exit of ninemsn’s commercial director Jason Scott and marketing director Tony Thomas.

Faure, who has been with ninemsn for two years says he will leave the company in August.
Faure’s cited that although ninemsn was in a good position he felt he was not the person to take the business to forward into the future:

“I have simply decided that I am not the right person to take the business to the next level. I think we have achieved a great deal at ninemsn.”

Ninemsn chairman and PBL Media chief Ian Law said the company would carry out an international search for a new CEO while also considering internal candidates.
Commenting on outgoing CEO, Law offered the following:

“Tony is an outstanding individual and did a great job in getting the fundamentals of the business in shape so the business can grow,” he said.

“He has also been highly effective in developing relationships across Microsoft, and PBL Media, and ensuring we get the best of all the assets that make up ninemsn.”
