New PS Vita Launching October 10th

Following the price-drop of the PS Vita in the US and Europe, Sony has just announced that it will be shipping the next generation PlayStation Vita by October 10th. The new version of Sony’s handheld gaming console is said to be 15 percent lighter and 20 percent thinner than the original but will have a beefier battery that will add an additional hour of life to the device’s usability. Following the price-drop of the PS Vita in the US and Europe, Sony has just announced that it will be shipping the next generation PlayStation Vita by October 10th.

The new version of Sony’s handheld gaming console is said to be 15 percent lighter and 20 percent thinner than the original but will have a beefier battery that will add an additional hour of life to the device’s usability. There will also be additional colour options for the new PS Vita, which include pink, black, blue, grey, lime green and yellow.

In terms of hardware, it will have a micro-USB charger, 1GB of on-board storage and a LCD display. Moreover, Sony has also strengthened its memory card offerings by reducing their prices and offering a new 64GB Vita card priced at around $105 (Japan market .
