New Coolpix Range From Nikon

Nikon has released a plethora of compacts aimed at various people within the point-and-shoot market

Nikon has released seven new Coolpix digital compact cameras, which includes one Performance Series camera, four Style Series cameras, and two Life Series cameras.
“We are excited to release a strong Coolpix range for 2010. This range of Coolpix cameras provides consumers with the choice of 7 different compact cameras all equipped with impressive features and stylish design to cater to all wants and needs.

With our new Coolpix range a number of models also feature technologies and materials used in our market leading DSLR products ensuring that no matter which product you choose the quality of pictures and video will amaze” said Nick Segger, Nikon Australia’s Senior Marketing Manager.

All equipped with Nikon’s Nikkor lenses and Expeed processor, they ensure high quality, accurate images that enhance photographic experiences for all occasions.
The introduction of the P100 into the Performance Series range provides photo enthusiasts and those with advanced photography skills a versatile camera equipped with superior features for shooting in a number of different situations.

The Coolpix P100 has an epic 26x zoom is Full HD and features 10.3 megapixels, 26x zoom (26-676mm), 3-inch vari-angle LCD, PSAM Modes, 1080p HD. It has movie mode with stereo sound, 17 scene modes, smart portrait system with skin softening, 5 image stabilising features. Available in black.

The Style Series range sees the introduction of the Coolpix S3000, S4000, S6000 and S8000. The combination of slim bodied designs, colour options and technologies makes the S Series suitable for consumers seeking compact cameras at an affordable price, claims the manufacturer.

First up is the Coolpix S3000 features a 12 megapixel, 4x zoom (27-108mm), 2.7-inch LCD, smart portrait system, blink Proof, face priority, 16 scene modes, Scene Auto Selector, 4-way VR image Stabilisation, Movie Mode. It is available in silver, black, red, purple & magenta.

Then there is the Coolpix S4000 that features 12 megapixels resolution; 4x zoom (27-108mm), 3-inch 460k-dot touch screen LCD, HD 720p movie mode, smart portrait system, subject tracking, 4-way image stabilisation, It is available in black and red.
Next up is the Coolpix S6000 that comes with a 7x zoom. It also features 14.2 megapixels, a 2.7-inch LCD, advanced motion detection, VR image stabilisation, ultra-fast start-up time (0.7 seconds) HD 720p movie mode. Available in red.

Finally, the Coolpix S8000. It features 14.2 megapixels, 10x zoom (30-300mm), 3-inch 960k-dot LCD with clear colour display, creative slider, HD 720p movie mode, quick retouch, VR image stabilisation. Available in black.

The Nikon Coolpix L-Series has been extended with the introduction of the L110 and L22, which both feature easy auto mode and smart portrait system, the Life Series is suitable for capturing family moments.

The Coolpix L110 features 12.1 megapixel, 15x zoom (28-420mm), 3-inch LCD, HD 720p movie mode, sport continuous mode, easy auto mode, smart portrait system, 15 scene modes, AA batteries. Available in black.

The Coolpix L22 has 12 megapixel resolution, 3.6x zoom (37-134mm), 3-inch LCD, movie mode, easy auto mode, Electronic VR image stabilisation, smart portrait system, 16 scene modes, AA batteries. Available in black and red.
