Gamers will have the chance to play out life as the President of the United States as a new game launches where you play as the Commander in Chief. The game is set to hit stores in the US on January 20, the day of President Obama’s inauguration.
The game titled, Commander in Chief has been developed by Eversim. Players will put their policies into action across a 3D world – combatting terrorism, facing economic crisis and dealing with global warming.
Eversim lead designer Louis-Marie Rocques said: “Player presidents” will make budget, health, education, military, diplomatic and other decisions in simulated environments and have to virtually live with the ramifications of their choices.
“You can put your own political theories into action and see the domestic and international domino effect,” said when plans for the game were unveiled in April.
“Anyone will now be able to develop their own exit strategy for Iraq, reverse the course of the economic recession, and attempt to prevent terrorist attacks from al-Qaeda.”
Players can play in one of two modes – open where the goal is to remain in office as long as possibel or war game where they face off against other players online…
