Professor Layton and the Lost Future is a new game that will be available for all Nintendo DS systems from October 21, treating newcomers and experienced players alike to a mix of mystery, time travel and puzzle-solving.

The popular series of portable games featuring Professor Layton has built a reputation for fun puzzles woven into the context of a mystery. In this, the third instalment, Luke and the Professor return for their most challenging adventure yet.
Professor Layton and the Lost Future places the Professor and his trusted apprentice, Luke, at the centre of a spellbinding adventure after they receive a strange letter sent from 10 years in the future. Players must wind their way through mind-bending puzzles as they decipher clues and strive to unlock a time-twisting mystery that threatens to plunge London into chaos.
Players must tap to interact with each scene, and the people in it to find and solve new puzzles. Players will need to think laterally to solve the puzzles and each one will bring them closer to unlocking the greater mystery. If you’re a whiz at Brain Training or Sudoku you’ll be a natural at assisting Professor Layton.
Brand new features in this third instalment of the series include three new mini-games to practice lateral thinking skills, a new Super Hint feature to boost puzzle solving ability, and revelations about Professor Layton’s own past.
Professor Layton and the Lost Future is playable on Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi and for a bigger screen experience, on the Nintendo DSi XL.
