iPhone Charger Recall

  • Chargers not compliant
  • Nullifies guarantee
  • Sold nationally

A USB charger for iPhone, iPod and MP3 has been recalled by the Australian Competitor and Consumer Commission due to a potential hazard.

The unit is the TFLC-1 USB charger from Apus Corporation. The recall notice says there are some charger units of slightly altered design with a removable plug. These units are not compliance certified and the electrical safety of the items cannot therefore be guaranteed.

The USB charger is compliance-certified to some extent but Shopping Square has determined there are some charger units of slightly altered design with removable plugs that are not fully certified. The uncertified chargers were supplied by the distributor due to a mistake during shipment.

The product was sold nationally.
