HTC chose the Museum of Contemporary Art as the space to launch their sexy new phone, the Touch Diamond.
Described by HTC President and CEO, Peter Chou, as a phone that delivers “unmistakable style and meticulous craftsmanship” the HTC Touch Diamond delivered good looks, slim lines and a stack of features.
On hand to aid Chou with the presentation was Horace Luke, Chief Innovation Officer for HTC who spearheaded the phone’s development. Luke described the phone as “a revolutionary breakthough in design and innovation” and said the phone was about delivering a “holistic user experience”.
Luke was particularly proud of the phone’s interface and its small size, claiming the HTC Touch Diamond is the “world’s most advanced phone in one of the smallest form factors”.
When creating the phone’s design, Luke said he was challenged by the CEO, Chou to deliver a phone that was “worthy of the Museum of Modern Art”. Luke believes they have done so by including touches such as a Stainless Steel frame, Swiss craftsmanship and good looks.
The phone integrates Touchflo 3D, a new touch driven interface developed by HTC and focuses on delivering a phone that can be used with “one hand, one touch”.
The HTC Touch Diamond will launch exclusively through Telstra shops and dealers and is expected to be available late July/early August. The phone will have a RRP $999 or will be available for free on an $80 plan for 24 months.
