Arguably the best punk band to come out of the US gets songs on Rock Star 2.
Games publisher Harmonix and MTV Games has announced that three of Green Day’s songs have been released to the Rock Band music store.
The tracks, from the bands latest album 21st Century Breakdown, are Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns and East Jesus Nowhere. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock and Alternative charts, fueled by the Alternative radio No. 1 single “Know Your Enemy.” 21st Century Breakdown, which Rolling Stone has called “a rock opera in which the rock always comes first”.
Eight songs from artists performing at the RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, including Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, Marilyn Manson and Slayer, will also be available for download soon.
Downloadable content will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
