Fujitsu PCs Have 7 Hour Battery Life
- Light sensor adjusts brightness of screen
- Almost seven hours of battery life
- Three ways to operate PC
Fujitsu’s Lifebook T731 and TH701 are designed for both the professional and consumer markets.
Both are fitted with a bi-directional, 12.1-inch WXGA TFT display with dual digitiser and are equipped with the new Intel mobile Intel 6 Series Chipsets. Each model has the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 technology to support Intel Wireless Display, allowing users to wirelessly connect the PCs to a large screen High Definition (HD) TV for sharing of photos, videos or presentations in a corporate setting with the use of a small portable adapter.
With its HSPA+ connectivity, users will be able to stay connected anywhere with the 3.5G connection by slotting in a 3G SIM card.
Both machines are equipped with security features including the Fujitsu 3D Shock Sensor, Fingerprint Sensor and Fujitsu Lifebook Lock. It is further enabled with the Intel vPro Technology and optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for enhanced data protection.
The built-in Fujitsu patented ventilation system promotes optimised performance and prolonged operational life with its enhanced cooling system and removable dust filter.
There are three ways of using the units – type on the spill-resistant keyboard; write with the digital stylus Pen; or touch with five-fingers gestures on the intelligent touchscreen. The Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7, an introductory collection of six games and programs, is included to provide a multi-touch experience on the tablet PC. For example, the Microsoft Surface Globe program immerses users in a 2D or 3D experience of the earth.
Peripheral connectivity on T731 and TH701 is further expanded with the new USB 3.0 port, which allows higher speed data transfers (480Mbps). The additional Any-time charging feature allows users charge other peripherals without switching on the tablet PC.
The T731 and TH701 are equipped with the hot swappable bay, which allows users to fit in a second battery or weight saver, depending on their different needs. This also enables companies to lower the total cost of ownership as users can share the accessories. The T731 also come with the optional Port Replicator, which allows immediate plug-in for office use and greater convenience.
Tested under the industrial MobileMark 2007 Productivity Workload standards, the T731 and TH701 come in with a battery life of six hours 50 minutes with a standard battery and up to 11 hours with an additional bay battery. This is made possible by a feature that automatically adjusts brightness of the screen to a working environment with an ambient light sensor which also manages the power consumption of the LCD panel, enhancing the battery life.
Both feature the optional 0-watt AC adaptor. Normal adaptors consume power even with the notebook switched off or put to hibernation mode. With this feature, the Fujitsu 0-watt AC adaptor is claimed to consume up to 99 percent less power as compared to a normal AC adaptor when on standby.
