Dual LCDs With Latest Samsung Cameras

  • Features dual LCD technology
  • Larger screens than previous models
  • Lenses supported by image stabilisation

Samsung new additions to its 2View camera portfolio are said to offer a full range of smart and easy-to-use features and Samsung’s world first dual LCD technology. Samsung’s new cameras are encased in a slim and sleek compact frame with a purple or black metallic finish.

These new models – the ST600 and ST100 – have received an upgrade to their front LCD screens, which now measure 1.8-inch compared to the 1.5-inch front LCD screens found on their 2View predecessors. The new screens now pair with a larger 3.5-inch back LCD screen, with both screens being able to be activated and navigated by touch. Users can use th front facing screen to frame themself in photos and videos and be part of the action.

Both come equipped with Schneider Kreuznach lenses, which are supported by Optical and Digital Image stabilisation to help you produce blur-free pictures. The ST600 combines a powerful 27mm wide-angle focal length with a 5x optical zoom, while the ST100 is the first Samsung 2View digital camera to feature an internal 5x optical zoom, which keeps the design streamlined and chic.

In addition, both the Samsung ST600 and ST100 feature High Definition (HD) movie recording capabilities (720P), so whether you’re seeing your favourite band live or filming your sibling’s birthday party, all your special memories will be captured in the highest quality.

Both units also use Samsung’s Smart Auto (Still & Movie) scene recognition technology to take the guess work out of capturing great photos or videos. Smart Auto analyses key elements of the image, such as colour, brightness, motion and subject, and uses this information to select the appropriate mode to help you snap the perfect picture.

With Samsung’s Jump Shot mode, users will be able to provide a visual cue to those in front of the camera to jump in unison, and immediately trigger the camera to take three consecutive images to help users capture an image that essentially freezes subjects in midair.

Samsung’s new cameras also offer a self-portrait mode, a couples mode which automatically snaps a photo when it detects two faces tilted toward each other, a children’s setting which will play a cartoon animation with sound to encourage young ones to smile for the camera, and a self-timer which provides a visual countdown so that everyone posing for a photo knows exactly when to smile.

The Samsung ST600 and ST100 also incorporate Samsung’s Smart Gesture User Interface which enables users to quickly access and use the key features of the camera with either a simple tilt or hand gesture. It is also possible be able to quickly scroll through photos by slightly tilting the device in either direction, swiping a finger across the screen or by selecting the appropriate photos for a slide show.
