Dick Smith has to recall one of its portable DVD players due to a possible fire hazard. This comes after its DSE portable DVD players – G7152 and G7153– were pulled from the shelves at the beginning of 2011.

Dick Smith has recalled one of its products – its 9-inch portable DVD/media player due to a possible fire hazard.

The model with the catalogue number of D6202 and APN: 9315999144934 has a possible Overheating problem with its batteries, which in turn are a potential fire hazard. The company claims that in rare cases the internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery may overheat.

This product was shipped to stores and available between 19th August 2011 and July this year. It was sold nationally by Dick Smith Stores only.

Dick Smith says that if you are one of the consumers that bought this product then you are asked to immediately return the product to any Dick Smith store for a full refund.
