Australian Review: Samsung Galaxy Note 5 – Design driven

The Note 5's battery typically lasted me the entire day, leaving me with a reasonable buffer of 30%. On one occasion the phone went flat at 9:30pm, but that was after I accidentally downloaded 3GB while tethering across a 15 minute period. I guess that's the downside to faster data speeds.

If you push your Note 5 too hard and run uncomfortably low on battery, it now charges faster than ever. Using Samsung's included charger, you can go from flat to full in 90 minutes. If you use a Samsung wireless charger – not included – a complete recharge will take you two hours. Of course, you need to have Samsung's propriety chargers to actually achieve these speeds.
