Australian Review: OPPO R9 – Opple

With an asking price of AUD$599, the OPPO R9 is a steal. In terms of value for money, it’s up there with the best. If you’re after a smartphone that feels like a thousand bucks without costing it, the R9 represents a strong choice. You will make a sacrifice when it comes to camera quality, though. However if you’re looking for great photo capabilities without dropping too much dosh, you may be better off looking at Nexus 5X. The Nexus 5X has its own trade-offs though; the R9 is made from aluminium but the Nexus 5X is very plastic, to put it politely. If you’re looking to push the boundaries of what your dollars can get you in a phone, the OPPO R9 is a safe pick.
